Thank you for showing an interest in our school and taking time to look at our website. At Radford we aim to provide children with high quality education which helps them to progress academically as well as equip them with skills which will enable them to make an active contribution to their community. We hope that as a result of the teaching and learning opportunities, aspirations will be raised and children will leave Radford Academy having made good progress, with a high self-esteem and a strong moral purpose.
We are extremely proud of our school and in particular the diverse make up of the children and staff, which reflects the community we serve. We have strong links with a range of organisations and places of worship as well as universities and businesses in the area. We see ourselves as a small but integral part of this vibrant community.
Radford is a friendly, caring school where we believe everyone has an important part to play. Children, staff, parents, governors and our community all work together to make our school a happy, exciting and successful place to learn. We also believe that it is vital to have trusting home school links and to support the family as well as the child. Therefore we have a very experienced parent support worker and learning mentor who offer advice and support in order to help families overcome the challenges they face. In addition, training and classes are offered to parents which also help them to develop their confidence and skills. We teach and encourage all children to make the best progress they can and to develop their talents both in and out of school. Every effort is made to provide a full and exciting curriculum which is relevant and inspires learning, creativity and team work whilst preparing each child for their future. We aim to provide a curriculum which helps children to develop skills and enthusiasm so they pursue learning for the rest of their lives.
Please spend some time finding out more about Radford Academy on our website. If you would like any further information or would like to look around please contact the school office manager, Mrs. Jackie Simpson.
